When output history to CSV is enabled a file called FocusingHistory.csv is created in the working folder.

Each iteration of the guiding loop correspond to a row in the file


 The file name i.e. FocusingHistory_v3_3_7067_38828.csv also contain the full version number to make a different file per version. This allows changing the structure of the file in a new version without any format conflict with the files already captured from older versions.



This file is very useful to analyze what happened during the full capture session, helping for support or to review your auto-focusing performances.

Using Excel is it easy from the data any relevant plots.

UTC timestamp.

Iteration

Corresponding focusing loop iteration number.

FrameRate

Time in milliseconds of one focusing loop iteration.

AverageFrameRate

Average time in milliseconds of all focusing loop iterations.

CorrelationFactor

Percentage of correlation (0% to 100%) between the current guider camera output frame and the guider reference frame.

CorrelationThreshold

Defines the minimum value before suspending focusing.

PoorCorrelation

True if the correlation factor is below the correlation threshold. Otherwise False.

SNR

Signal-to-Noise ratio of the stacked frame in dB.

DSL

Dynamic range ratio of the stacked frame in dB.

ScopeAltitude

The altitude of the field pointed by the telescope above the horizon in degrees.

FocuserPosition

The absolute focuser position in steps.

FocuserCFZPredicateUpperBound

The CFZ upper bound predicate in steps.

FocuserCFZPredicateBestFocus

The CFZ best focus predicate in steps.

FocuserCFZPredicateLowerBound

The CFZ lower bound predicate in steps.

FocuserCFZMin

The CFZ minimum value in steps

FocuserCFZMax

The CFZ maximum value in steps

FocuserTemperature

The temperature of the focuser in celsius

Filter

The name of the filter currently selected in the filter wheel. Empty if there is no filter wheel.

Reference

The reference relative roundness registered to the current filter.

Allows to compensate filters that are not parfocal.

Correction

The correction is steps.

The system gain in micron per %

The system gain in % per micron

MeanX

The correlation centroid peak coordinate on X axis in pixels.

MeanY

The correlation centroid peak coordinate on Y axis in pixels.

StdevX

The standard deviation along the X axis of the focusing correlation peak in pixels.

StdevY

The standard deviation along the Y axis of the focusing correlation peak in pixels.

MajorStdev

The standard deviation along the major axis of the focusing correlation peak in pixels.

MinorStdev

The standard deviation along the minor axis of the focusing correlation peak in pixels.

NoCorrection

True if no correction has been sent to the focuser relay. Otherwise False.

"No correction" can happen for multiple reason such as error protection, minimum move thresholds, ...

Absolute

The absolute roundness (ARDN) in percent.

AbsoluteAverage

The average absolute roundness (AARDN) in percent.

AbsoluteAngle

The absolute roundness angle in degrees.

RelativeMin

The relative roundness minimum value in percent.

RelativeMax

The relative roundness maximum value in percent.

Relative

The relative roundness (RRDN) in percent.

RelativeAverage

The average relative roundness (ARRDN) in percent.
